Stains on fabrics – Ink (tar dyes)
Ink (tar dyes). The ink contains soot or other black pigments and a binder. Ink stains cannot be removed chemically, therefore, attempts are made to remove them by washing in water with the addition of washing agents and possibly ammonia. You can also try to remove ink stains with hot alcohol, but this treatment may cause discoloration, and some fibers, e.g.. octanowe, they are damaged in the process. They can therefore only be wetted with dilute ammonia, then rinse thoroughly with water.
