Removing stains and dirt - Velor
Furniture upholstered with velor and other items made of this fabric should be dry cleaned.
However, some velours have a "washable" sign on the labels - then they are washed in plenty of water. The water should be warm, with the addition of detergent for washing wool. The material must first be shaken out before washing, to remove dust from the surface. Wash individually, squeezing and lifting out of the water, to remove any loose dirt. Rinse twice. It is best to choose washing and drying on a breezy day, so that the fabric dries quickly. if it's possible, the curtains have to be hung like that, so that no rope marks remain.
During drying, the hair is smoothed with a clean clothes brush, and after drying, the fabric is shaken vigorously, to spruce them up. Probably not to iron.
