Painting porcelain

It's much easier to recreate a big one, expressive pattern rather than delicate ornamental motifs. Complementing a drawing consisting of delicate, straight or evenly spaced strokes is already very difficult. Paradoxically, the most troublesome is choosing the right shade of paint to recreate the white background.

Aging porcelain
On old cookware, the enamel may have cracked completely or partially. If the restored or added piece falls out at the point of the cracks, you have to hide the traces of renovation by imitating a mesh of cracks on the surface.
The easiest method is to cover the dried painting with tiny pencil lines.
Watch all the time, that the graphite is sharply tempered and the lines have the same thickness. If the drawing is too dark, rub it off with your finger or an eraser. If the cracks are discolored, replace the pencil with a thin nib dipped in colored ink.
Secure false cracks with a layer of enamel. It is best to use a paint sprayer for this, the brush can smear the pencil drawing. However, if the brush strokes are very light and careful, you will achieve a similar effect.
