Joint filling
When the glue in the joint is dry, remove the tape and scrape off any glue residue with a sharp knife. Any streaks
remove the glue with sandpaper. Locate the small chips along the crack line. Press the filler into them on both sides with a knife. Then dip the knife. in denatured alcohol or water and move along the joint, pressing and smoothing the filler. After drying, sand it flush with the surface. Scrape the filler off the flat surface with a razor blade, a with curvature – with a knife with a rounded blade. Smooth down with a tiny scrap of fine sandpaper, under your fingertip.
Sometimes it will be necessary to apply additional layers of filler, until the moment, when you can no longer sense any changes in the surface texture with your fingertips.
Finally, coat the whole with a layer of chrome varnish, to protect and mask the repair site.
